Hello,

This thread will outline details about earning badges from artist threads. In summary, artist thread badges can be earned by the top poster of a thread once the thread has reached 50 pages. These badges can be still images or gifs, but must be related to the group or soloist the thread is about. More information can be found below.

How do I request my badge?
When you are the top poster of an artist thread that has reached 50 pages, request the badge in this thread. Awards will check that the posts were not spam and if they were valid posts, you will be asked for which badge image/gif you’d like.

What counts as spam?
Artist threads are primarily, but not exclusively, used for updating official recent news on a group or idol. That being said, we know some people may just want to show their appreciation for their idol. However, if you decide you want to do so and the content you post is older than two months and/or not official you must post a meaningful comment related to the post. For example, if you post an old video with the comment “this is cool”, that won’t be enough. An explanation of what you enjoyed and found cool about the video would.

What counts as official content?
We have a fairly loose definition of official. All content from the groups official social media counts, as well as sources from large fan sites and translations/posts of official sources (such as Weibo). Of course, do not post duplicates/the same content as another user even if from a different translator or so on. If you have questions don’t hesitate to ask if your post is okay.

What happens if I don’t follow these requirements?
For the first and second infraction, you will receive 1 warning and the offending posts will be deleted each time. For the third infraction, you will be banned from requesting artist thread badges for one month. Lastly, if you get a fourth infraction, you will be banned from artist thread badges entirely.

What happens if I receive a badge that is then found to be gained through unfair posting?
In this case, the badge will be removed and the offending posts will be deleted. You may gain the badge back if the 50 page mark is reached fairly

Are we allowed to take over threads that haven't been updated in a long time? Im asking this because i started updating the Exo artist thread but wasn't sure if that would count because it's already reached its 50 pages mark

you can make a request on https://kpopsource.com/threads/takeover-idol-thread-request.11883/ but note that op must be inactive for more than 7 days & from what I have seen kamistar is still active. My recommendation is that you first ask them if you can takeover their exo artist thread
