I`m not really up to date with loona. is it a new subunit?

Actually no
Loona debuted 1 by 1
after the 1st 5 girls debueted ( minus Yeojin) Loona's 1st sub unit was born (Loona 1/3) the next 3 members debuted, then their most popualr Subunit was Formed ( Odd Eye Circle/ OEC) and the last 4 girls debuted with the most unique and most agree have the darkest concpet that couldve been darker ina arepackage that we never got, YYXY.
The Members Heejin Kimlip, Jinsoul, and Choerry escaped BBC and is now back with Jaden Jeong under Modhaus, It is extremely likely that Odd Eye Circle will redebut since modhaus filed for Trademark of Odd eye circle ( the 3 members of OEC are Kimlip, Jinsoul, and Choerry)
