As a half Asian this disgusts me. There is no excuse for racism, virus or not.
I feel people aren't even looking for an excuse to terrorise another nowadays.
I pray for their quick recovery from their injuries.

What I don't get is that there were (little to) none racism attacks during other epidemics like ebola.
But oh the irony. These people attack them for "carrying and spreading" the virus yet they beat them up aka touching. Wouldn't you want to avoid contact with them?
I also saw an article saying that a Filipino man got pushed on the railway tracks in Italy cuz they thought he was Chinese. It's disgusting.

It's disgusting really. The way people are treated just because it started from a certain place.
Yes, even if people aren't Chinese, they will still get targetted. It's a shame and disgusting that a Filipino guy got thrown onto the railway tracks, is he ok?

I've actually been bullied a lot recently because of this.

I had a minor sniffle one day and I sneezed and everyone moved away from me... I was so embarrassed.
And everyone keeps saying Corona virus every time they see me.

I'm multi-ethnic so, my genetics are weird and I don't look like the typical 'asian'. That caused people to not believe I am asian because I don't look the part.
But now they all of a sudden believe me...

I am talking about all those non-Asian youtubers fleeing infected countries and some of them not doing much of quarantine. HECK how about all these airports just letting anyone including non-Asians just waltz right in the first days we knew abotu the outbreak.

My point is keep focusing on Asians and you're going to make matters worse.

As for me if any Asians come into my work wearing masks and gloves I will start to be worried then. Because all of them are natural germaphobes.

People can be cautious and respectful at the same time, but I just feel like it's not even that they're being "careful". It's that they've been waiting for a reason that will cover their racism and prejudice to jump on Asians. I love my sisters and all but. "I'm staying away from Asians and not eating sushi for now" "Chinese people are so weird, Vietnamese people are weird enough but the Chinese are disgusting" "Korea and Japan in China need to be careful" And ??????? My brain physically hurts when I hear these things.
Sure, it started from China but I bet if it had started in Europe or America, no one would be saying things like that and instead posting on instagram, pray for _____ xx *heart emojis*
Instead of praying or hoping the best for those hurt by this virus or condolences for the people who died from it, some people are really sitting here being racist. It's funny that the worst kinds of people are being so "careful", when they don't realize they're the type of people who make this world worse and less accepting of differences.
