why don’t you “punish” users harder if they quit or being inactive after an event starts? it’s really annoying when they do this during team games. like, don’t participate if you know you don’t have time for this! it’s not fair to your team mates! some users literally let their team mates do all the works and after the event ends, they will get the same prize. do you plan to do something about this problem? sorry but someone should ask this because this is why team games/events don’t work.
I think Tickita basically covered it. At the end of the day it's an online forum event, which is good if you can participate, but if something big happens irl (a death in the family, personal injury, those types of things), or even not big but still important (get major homework assignments that takes hours, work is putting you on the schedule much more often than usual), is it fair to punish them for not prioritizing events over that? Of course not all people who don't participate have those things going on. Some get bored, some don't feel like it, ect. But are we in a position where we can judge for certain what's going on with them and only punish those who didn't have something preventing them for each user? We of course can and do try to make it clear that it's better if everyone participates and that you probably shouldn't sign if you think you don't be able to take part consistently, but other than that it's hard to say what we can reasonably and fairly do without causing people with legit excuses to suffer for not putting KS before their life.
