They had a cute concept when they debuted which I think helped people became aware of them as it was different than what most boy groups were doing at the time and have garnered interest over time from their various comebacks

If a GG does a cute concept, everyone hates it, but if a BG does it, it's amazing and original.

Cute concepts are hated on girl groups because they were everywhere during this time while boy group cute concepts so it was different where as a girl group cute concept wasn't.

Every concept has their own niche though but the ones who don't like a concept are way louder than those that do so it's easier to hear people complain about girl group cute concepts the same as people complain about boy groups tough guy concepts.
