Well excluding Big 3 boy groups since it obviously isn't them and since I don't know what they mean exactly by "top" the candidates left are Seventeen, Nu'est, Monsta X, VIXX, Highlight and Infinite.

Considering it says a top boy group then I have to suspect Highlight as Infinite, VIXX and Monsta X have Gugudan, Lovelyz and Cosmic Girls with them and if it was Seventeen or Nu'est they'd get both.

My only other guesses would be Block B or N.Flying but Block B is without Zico and N.Flying is another one with a bunch of names.

Tbh that's probably just because when you think of top 3rd gen boy groups the only ones that come to mind are BTS, EXO, Wanna One and Seventeen which 3/4 of those obviously aren't gonna be acquired leaving only 1 but that "top" could be a lot broader than we think.

If it’s an agency of a top boy group, I imagine it’s a smaller agency that has the boy group as it’s either big, or only money maker. Their definition of top group is probably different to what we think.

I don't see Jellyfish being bought out (VIXX/Gugudan) or N.Fly's (FNC Entertainment). That saying FNC only has one boy group that being SF9, rests are bands.

I think if it was Pledis or TS there would be many happy fans... ... Is there anyone left in CUBE? Or has that sheet show left the stage?

Anyways those are three companies I think fans would cheer if anyone aquired and shook stuff up. Especially how Big Hit proves they dont play around with the wellness of their artists

Yeah Highlight could definitely be up for sale since it's just them and if they do the same as Big Hit did with Source Music then they'd still be able to operate things themselves so it'd really be a win win situation for both sides.

It could also be part of the reason for the announcement being 2020 since they enlisted at the end of 2018 so they should be done some time then.

I don't see any of the agencies with more than 1 group easily selling as they are obviously trying to build themselves up but if the deal is anything like Source Musics then potentially one could be swayed.
