My mom told me about her friends recent trip to Montenegro. Apparently it was great until the airport at the end. She stared off saying it’s a small airport. Okay, could be worse. Then she said there’s a crap ton of people. Less nice. Then she said there’s no air conditioning and it’s 36 degrees C. Doesn’t sound fun. Then she said that once you pass security, there’s no water fountains. Big oof. Then she said the water was completely sold out. Sounds miserable. Then she said all the flights were delayed, and that some flights got rerouted to an airport in a different city like 2 hours away and they had to rush to get taxis there. But at least she said Montenegro itself was beautiful, which is fair enough given its location. That airport experience sounded really really bad though

It was on the way out that they had issues But you could probably drive into Croatia and go to the Dubrovnik airport instead. I don’t remember it being a terrible airport, though tbf we only flew into it, we didn’t fly back from there

Airports can be fine as long as they have water fountains and free unlimited WiFi. Istanbul gets a pass despite having limited WiFi because their museum is actually pretty cool. But ones with no water fountains are awful, given that you can’t take any with you and usually have wait time ofc.

one time, we had a layover in DFW going home to Indy from Phoenix (we live in Cincinnati, but Indy was the closest and cheapest at the time), and we were supposed to board our flight at like... 7:30 sounds about right - 7:30 pm. Well, there were tech difficulties with the plane and they kept pushing it farther and farther and farther until it ended up becoming a redeye. We finally boarded at like 11:30 and didn't get into Indy until one in the morning and home until three. We could've just stayed the night in Indy, but we'd been gone for like two weeks and just wanted to be home. (and add onto that the fact Dad can handle late-night driving)

And I didn’t pack any food with me too because I was like “nah, it’s a short flight. I don’t need food”. So I had to buy half a sandwich for like $13 and it tasted pretty bad but everything else was so expensive That was not a fun experience
