I'm back I'm sorry but what I'm so excited about is how they hinted at this with Namjoon doing ORUL82? at MAMA - and using some of their old-school samples is just oof.

Saw some theories on Twitter that suggested:

Persona - Original flavor BTS

Shadow - HYYH and Wings

Ego - Love Yourself

Self - New and slayage for all ARMY

It was amazing. I'm the farthest thing from an ARMY so I didn't expect to like it.

I'd love for them to go for this mood/tone for the Persona album. The Love Yourself series honestly wasn't for me except Pied Piper and Outro Tear. This seems a lot more chill, while still going hard but not into that gloomy, depressing side. I love it, I hope the entire album's vibe is similar to this.

I could be way off, but back when I still followed them a lot of the newer fans I met either really hated their older stuff or just ignored it altogether. Also I remember BTS got some flak in the early days for being too “tryhard” so maybe fans want them to distance themselves from that era more? Idk.
