EBS is shady, and Busters' agency is no better. If I were Chaeyeon's parents, I'd try get her out of there asap.

Another possible reason she says she wasn't hit is that her agency seems to be depending on the income from her appearing on this show to the extent that ChaeYeon misses her schedule or rushes back from her schedule to appear on this show. It's sad how Busters n the agency are struggling now. Hope that things get better for them.

I've read a few other website sites take on this n I think tat firing the two was the absolute right thing, even tho it was the minimum that the broadcast company did without admitting any hitting or insulting ChaeYeon happened.

Sadness all around for wat happened to Chaeyeon. She deserved to be treated with more respect from those two guys.

That's not that possible as the show is being replaced by the looks of it

I also am not overly happy with how joyful folks are that they got him fired given the angle ect. For example as hard as it looked like he was swinging she would have rotated her body much more after the contact.

My take on this as a middle-aged guy (kinda middle class in my country) , reading about MeToo n TimesUp in the US n the west, as well as Bill Cosby n Harvey Weinstein n others who were doing way worse stuff for a long time without consequences until more people spoke up about their experiences. Probably a lot of things are unrevealed elsewhere including my country. So the pendulum has swung too far the other way, but it's probably better now than how it was previously when things like this got swept under the rug without consequences until more people speak up.

I could wish for a more balanced reaction now but while I never thot about it previous to MeToo n TimesUp, now tat I know-I can't unsee that things were much worse for the lesser-powered(I can't think of a better term rn), like ChaeYeon in this situation if it happened 5 or 10 years ago {ofc not to her then, but in general}.

If people are bandwagonning to enjoy tat him n the guy insulting her got fired, to my thinking that's a consequence of not sweeping things under the rug any more. In time I hope people will hv more balanced reaction , too but I'm not counting on it.(as long as trolls exist.)

Yes, it's just that we can't take company's statement as granted. What they make idols say isn't always true. There is many times in kpop when victim has come forth and apologised for causing trouble, even blaming themselves, cause their company doesn't want controversy.

And the fact that the company doesn't want to be in a bad light with EBS either and of course ChaeYeon doesn't either.
Also, the fact that ChaeYeon has been working there since the beginning of the year probably shows you that she probably cares more about being on good terms with the program, than being assaulted as it is for her whole group and company, so she's not really caring about herself in this situation, but these things need to be addressed because physical and verbal abuse is not ok and it affects many.

Ofc the agency wouldn't buy that fight, like they would risk losing one of the few opportunities they have.

At least they have the people that "don't even watch the show" on their side
