Busters’ Agency Under Fire For Sexualizing Underage Members On Live Broadcast

Busters, when they first debuted in 2017, became dubbed K-Pop’s youngest idols. The average member age in 2019 remains 16.75 — meaning they are an “underage” group, composed entirely of minors.

And since the group’s latest live broadcast, their agency — Marbling Entertainment — is under heavy fire for dressing the members inappropriately and putting them through what can be perceived as uncomfortable situations. Viewers found their outfits to be too unreasonably revealing…

The company should be extra careful about things like that. There is no way they don't know many younger girl groups tend to have creepy uncle fans and companies should protect their artist especially when they aren't adults.

In other hand, many of these companies can even use that knowledge for profit which is pretty disgusting. I think AKB48 has been underfire for having bikini gravure shoots for the members who are underrage. So it can be that these companies sexualize young girls in purpose to make them appeal to wealthy older men, it's not always mistake.

While back IU was called out for having "lolita" concepts. To me this was stupid, since she didn't decide these concept so why go after her, she didn't have them anymore when people called them out and her concepts weren't ever that sexualized, they were more of fairytale concepts to me. But that is important discussion to have. Are some kpop (and jpop) companies profitting from "lolita" concepts and how to stop that.

Some companies like to do stuff like this on purpose, test the waters to see what they can and cannot get away with. The kids are way too young to do mature concepts anytime in the future so management sends them in borderline Lolitawear to lure in as many desperate (and loyal) uncle fans as possible. The teasers for Pinky Promise made me really uncomfortable and I'm not even that much older than some of them.

We've seen companies try to subtly sexualize or infantize the younger members of ggs them to the point where they get crazy toxic and possessive fans

It's also same company that sent Berry Good out without any safety shorts at their showcase and tried to mediaplay with Johyun's figure during her "cosplay controversy" Adults but still.

Well I don’t think Busters’ agency is alone in that regard
