I’m just not familiar with Polish in the way I am with French, German & Spanish, aka the most well known European languages. I also
learned all 3 in secondary school to an extent so that helped too.
Its ironic really because I’ve grown up around many Polish people in my life yet I don’t know a word of it

I get what you mean but at the same time I’m pretty sure you would be the same with Asian languages or African languages. It’s not necessarily coming from a place of hate or anything, just from a place of not being exposed to all the languages in the world to the point of being able to differentiate them.
