Can we talk about how dirty Crayon Pop was played?? (1 Viewer)

So Crayon Pop was a Kpop girl group formed in 2012. They had some albums and released great songs. BUT THEN their company played them. HOW? Well it happened when they released the song Bar Bar Bar and they got pretty viral. They even got recognized from Lady Gaga! AMAZING RIGHT? yes but at the same time no because they got played by their company. The company was not the best and they recorded the MV in an abandoned junk yard? I don't know the full story duhhh but this is so gross. Honestly they deserved WAY better. Luckily they didn't "disband" they just went their separate ways.

I don't think their company was that bad, sure they had low budget because it was such a small company. They just weren't able to keep the momentum they gained with Bar, Bar, Bar. I think Bar Bar Bar was recorded in a abandoned theme park. But all their other MV's were just normal imo (by Kpop standards for that time).

Soyul lying about mental health while in reality she just randomly had got knocked up and left the other girl's of Crayon Pop also didn't help. All in all I think the public didn't enjoy the retro sound they often used in their early days, since their CEO was obsessed with T-ara's Roly Poly.

FM and Doo Doom Chit, Dancing Queen are my favorite songs of them.

Crayon Pop is GOATED. I have their Evolution Pop Vol 1 album. Love everything about the group. They were a small company and couldn't maintain the momentum. Unfortunately they didn't have a Nancy or Yeonwoo to help them stay relevant like Momomland did.

I don't think they got played as they released an album right after Bar Bar Bar and it sold a whopping 14k... that's it like their songs were popular but they did not build a fandom at all and as much as people ramble about charting however it's a fandom that keeps a group going like Gfriend have been running on Buddies pretty much for years alone.

I'd suspect there's an uncomfortable truth that Crayon Pop didn't build that fandom because of a combination of their age and none of the members particularly becoming popular for their visuals.
