Can you listen to cancelled idols music? (1 Viewer)

B.A.P is probably the only cancelled group(with cancelled member) I listen to. I stopped listening to bigbang, I'm not sure if it was because of Seungri or if I just stopped liking them as a collective

i think the only problematic artist that i listen to is jay park? ngl some days i wished he wasnt problematic so i wouldnt have to feel guilty about listening to his music but i think ive gradually learned to separate the art from the artist and it doesnt bother me that much anymore. on days when it does i just pretend im listening to some cute unproblematic guy singing instead of jay park LOL

Depends on what is meant by "cancelled"

I agree with this because sometimes idols get cancelled for the dumbest reasons or reasons I don't agree with. I'll always be their fan though, for the three idols I'm thinking of, because I don't believe they did anything wrong to justify how the SoKor public treated them. I draw a line where I need to and generally it is not crossed.

I definitely listen to groups that have one or more "cancelled" members, even some where multiple seem to be kind of meh (TST, BAP, AB6IIX, Big Bang, NCT, ect). I don't know if I have any solo songs by people that were super canceled on my playlist but I don't think that's because of their cancelled status, I don't have that many solo songs on my playlist anyways.

Well the April situation was never cut and dry and from my perspective seemed like communication had broken down and that led to different perspectives and Hyunjoo assuming bad intentions on scenarios where there wasn't so the blame is more so on DSP than Hyunjoo or the other April members.

As for the question the only group I have really been iffy about listening to after mess is AOA and that's a mess where I doubt we'll ever know the whole story so it's harder to detach just from one person in a scenario when you can't figure out whose fault it is for the situation becoming what it did.

Well the April situation was never cut and dry and from my perspective seemed like communication had broken down and that led to different perspectives and Hyunjoo assuming bad intentions on scenarios where there wasn't so the blame is more so on DSP than Hyunjoo or the other April members.

Hyunjoos brother made accusations against April saying they bullied her to attempt to take her own life and that he wanted them off TV during the time when all the bullying accusations were coming out and it was verified by supporting hospital documents that Hyunjoo was hospitalised for attempting.

What actually happened is where it gets unclear because one example is one of the members wore shoes that Hyunjoo says clearly had her name on which the member brought up about it denied as well as using Hyunjoos flask to make something which DSPs side of things is that they keep those things in high quantity and the member apologised to Hyunjoo and they ate what was in the flask together with her.

There is other stuff that I'd have to read over the posts to get but the confirmation that Hyunjoo did attempt to take her life really swung the public discourse in her favour however one thing that wasn't argued with was that Hyunjoo was sick and DSP used this as a negative point against her saying she didn't do well in practice and that DSP was accomodating for her to keep her in the group despite she wanted to leave before debut even.

Hyunjoo would go on to be part of Uni.T and said that she had to give up her dream because of her illness so it does seem like she struggled with things and DSP tried to do whatever to keep her in the group but it drove a wedge between Hyunjoo and the other members as while the other members were practicing tiredlessly however Hyunjoo did not have to and there was a disconnect that Hyunjoo started to perceive things as hostile when none of the situations made it seem like they went out of her way to slight her although she clearly felt they didn't like her.

probably not. I mean, I cant listen to michael jackson for the same reason.
when his music comes on radio and skip the channel.
