Even sitting for four hours straight can be so painful when you have to stand up. I suppose if you're not in a cramped space and can relax, sitting can be OK. Otherwise, standing is better.

Standing sure, sitting no. I’ve broken my tailbone twice and sitting for too long hurts like crazy.
