When you watch TV? Not including language subtitles.

I use captions all the time.

I find it hard to watch movies without captions outside of the theatre

I've gotten into the habit of using captions, cause I'm listening out for other things.... And anime habits have reached real life everyday TV watching lol

If I'm focused on what im watching its fine without though.

I like having subtitles on, but with captions it kinda depends if the captions are going to be different than what is being said. On youtube it's usually exactly same so that's useful but I think in Netflix etc. it's usually different. And it's kinda hard to read and listen English at same time if what you are hearing and what you are reading aren't perfect match.

If I can understand without the captions then I won't use them so depends on the accent

Excluding subtitles, i prefer no captions but sometimes i just leave captions on cos im too lazy to click off captions.

i would use them but they're rarely available on tv here. most of the time it's just a voiceover in polish for foreign languages and for things originally in polish there's nothing.
