Actors Choi Soo Jong and Ha Hee Ra opened up about their marriage and family on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.'



The couple, who are celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary, appeared on the episode that aired on October 14. The episode recorded a peak nationwide household rating of 4.8%, ranking first in its time slot among cable and general programming channels. It also ranked first in its time slot among viewers aged 20 to 49, according to Nielsen Korea.



The show also placed third in Good Data Corporation's FUNdex ranking of the most buzzworthy TV non-drama programs for the second week of October.



When host Yoo Jae Suk asked whether attention from others felt like a burden, Choi Soo Jong said, "It is much better to live with that pressure. It feels like it guides me down the right path."



Ha Hee Ra recalled being surprised by a groundless rumor about the couple. "There was even a rumor that Soo Jong drinks, hits me, and then plans surprise events because he feels sorry," she said. She added that she told their children, "No matter what you hear, the mom and dad you see are the truth."



Choi Soo Jong also spoke about his wife's four miscarriages. "Without that experience, I would have been like any other husband who works outside and takes care of the family," he said. "Through it, I learned how precious children are and came to treat Hee Ra better."



The episode also revealed that Choi Soo Jong lost his mother before the recording. He shed tears while talking about her, and Ha Hee Ra embraced him after filming.



Meanwhile, Choi Soo Jong and Ha Hee Ra met in 1987 as co-hosts of a KBS2 program and married in November 1993. They have one son and one daughter.
