On February 3, C9 Entertainment told media outlets, "The rumor Bae Jin Young is being ostracized by the members is not true." Previously, rumors the former Wanna One member was getting bullied by the CIX members began spreading online after a video of fans throwing water bottles at him. One CIX member also commented that if there was a zombie outbreak he would use Bae Jin Young as a meat shield, and the controversy grew as former Wanna One member Kim Jae Hwan shared the clip.

On sharing the content, Kim Jae Hwan's reps stated, "Kim Jae Hwan posted the content as he felt it was regretful Bae Jin Young is embroiled in such rumors."

As previously reported, a video of Baek Jin Young allegedly getting ostracized on tour with CIX quickly spread on online communities, and many netizens and fans spoke out in anger.

yeah cause he gets another chance after wanna one but this happens. i hate seeing this type of stuff happening especially when it’s my bias :(

Honestly, I'm just kind of frustrated. I know there have been many incidents of people being accused of bullying and it being disproved and of course, we don't have any solid proof.

But in all honesty, I think his other members are either cowards or jerks. I don't need to see anything more or read anything more. I've been the punching bag in a friend group before and I'm sure many others have where it is played off as a simple joke anytime they say something mean. It just rubs me the wrong way to have "fans" mistreat him (which also isn't ok) but the members to either laugh or not comfort him in any visible way or give him an OUNCE of respect-enough to at least try to ask fans to be quiet so he can talk.

Other idols have done that at least in this context, asking the fans to try and let the member that is being talked over, speak.

I don't know if it's blatant bullying but it's definitely lack of respect and poor character.

This is really sad and I agree with what you said. As a fellow member, any of them could’ve ask the fans to let him speak or actually, they could ask fans to stop this kind of behavior. It’s not a bad thing to do, other groups like EXO, BTS, etc. sometimes express their frustration if fans behave unkindly.

Yeah. It's basic human decency and respect which just yeah. Makes me think his members lack that.
