Really awful news, and it sounds like the rescue mission is fully unsuccessful so far. At this point I’m wondering if there even can be survivors, with such cold water temperatures, but I hope there are.
Summary: a commercial plane from Kansas, carrying 60 passengers and 4 crew, crashed in to a Black Haws helicopter, carrying 3 soldiers, a few hours ago as the plane was making its descent into DC. After colliding, they fell into the Potomac River, which was just above freezing temperatures. Some bodies have been recovered from the river, but no survivors. The helicopter was on a training mission at the time of the crash.
