This is really sad and heartbreaking, she deserved much better. K-netz need to wake up to their constant hate towards idols. I hope SM learns something from this, it's already the 2nd incident in less than 2 years. They should care more about their idols.

It started mostly when she left f(x). People disliked that she left the group for "her boyfriend".

Then when she started being herself on Social Media, having fun and being free, people started attacking her because they thought she was being over the top. They hated most of the things she posted, for no reason. And when she stood up for herself expressing she's living freely, she got more hate from her haters etc.

I think it's more than just her haters that got to her. Unfortunately this happens far too much in SK, no matter who you are. I hope the K-pop industry and SK wakes up and addresses mental health far more seriously!

It is truly heartbreaking that she had to go all through that and although she was strong, sometimes you become so overwhelmed by it all and you can't cope. This is when you are trying to find a way out but you feel trapped.
I think she must have felt like that, especially if she didn't have anyone to talk to or confide in.
I think she had a nip slip the other day if I remember, I didn't really think anything of it, but if you think about it, that would have caused even more controversy, especially when her controversies had built up over the years.

So saddening, truly shocking at first glance but the more I think about it, the more it seems fitting considering how it's been for her over the years. Poor girl, I can't begin to imagine how she must've felt..personally, I always thought to myself that Sulli was an enviable person and great in how she always expressed herself despite the hate she received. At such a young age..I just hope her soul is free and at peace now.

Makes me wonder how her life would've been if she weren't in this industry to begin with. If she would've had a better, longer, happier life. Also makes me remember again, being beautiful/well known/rich isn't everything, and what people show on the outside doesn't come close to their thoughts inside. At what point will things change, how many more people have to die like this. Several thoughts and feelings on this.

I wasn't a fan of Sulli as I didn't really know her or F(x), but all the time I heard about her, I was actually drawn to her.

She did get hate even before she left, she had scandal about being lazy on stage (similar as Jennie's I guess) and dating scandal with Choiza and she decided to leave the group because of hate comments and being tired of being idol. People continued to hate her even more after she left the group and she was constantly on articles so it's not like she managed to escape the idol life. Recently it finally seemed like public opinion towards her became better though and she was doing lot more, solo album, acting, variety.. so that's why this is so surprising cause it finally seemed that she was in better place.

this is heartbreaking, i don't even know what to say. she was so young and had her whole life ahead. sulli deserved so much better, the public was cruel towards her when she did nothing wrong. condolences to her family and friends, i can't imagine how difficult it must be for them right now.

Why am I suddenly watching f(x) videos?

I was so shocked when I first heard the news.
We all knew she was suffering from mental illness for a long time- her solo Goblin even shed light on it. Yet people ignored signs and we had to end up here. I'm not blaming anyone, that's the last thing I want to do. I was never a fan of f(x) - their music didn't click for me, and I never really got around to knowing the individual members. I knew the basics, and what a legendary group they were, but never delved in depth. Everything changed after Sulli released Goblin. It was so haunting it stayed in my thoughts for a while, and I realized, I needed to find out about this girl. What I found was an immensely talented woman being torn by illness and hate, and my heart went out to her. I was looking forward to seeing her again, but certainly not like this. The world lost a beautiful angel we did not deserve today. SM, I'm begging you, please think about your idols. Jonghyun, Sulli... your idols are slowly killing themselves. I hope some good can be made out from her death, she was so young and did not deserve any of this hate in any sort of way. My heart goes out to her family and friends, you lost an angel. RIP Sulli, you will be dearly missed. 💕
