On 31 March 2026, alongside the official announcement of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia, South Korean broadcaster ENA was named as one of ten provisional participants, representing South Korea. That same day, a promotional video for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia was released, confirming that ENA would hold a national final on 4 September 2026 to select its entry for the contest. On 4 August 2026, it was revealed that the entry would be selected through Korea's Next Wave.
