so far I'm using no tools! I have paint and gimp and I barely manage to do anything in gimp

I don't have photoshop

Photopea is online and free, it’s like a watered down photoshop. Either way I don’t actually know the steps for making a gif with an editing software anymore idt, the easier more low quality person is to find a site that converts YouTube videos specifically to gifs. They tend to be easy, but as with most easy things less nice

regardless of which tool I used so far, if I try to load the youtube video in it, it tells me some error occurs

I tried with the tool Tickita posted intagiffer.. and yesterday with on giphy.com but I only get errors

That is weird. I did find 2 that accepted it for me, idk anything else about the site but they took the video. I don’t understand why some wouldn’t take it though
