When I was like 13-16ish I always thought I was mentally much older than my peers but looking back I think I was just as immature tbh, it's just that I was nicer than the friends I hung around with and didn't pick on them like they did me... but yeah I was still a dumbass

I'd say i'm probably mentally still 16, physically 20... I don't wanna grow up :(((

When I talk to people I don’t seem immature, but I do a lot immature things on the downlow. Sometimes I’ll write explicit poems on the bathroom stalls and turn the ‘nice’ notes that my school leaves everywhere into a different meaning.

22, mentally a year younger.
Apparently they noticed that I was a year behind on my peers mentally when I was 6.
They wanted to even let me retake the year so I could be with my "mental peers" even though I was smart enough to pass to the next year.
Luckily my mom was a teacher there and said "no".
I did notice I was behind on my peers when they talked about more "adult" stuff.
Now I'm in a class with '00-liners (well, a lot are actually around my age cuz we all did different things in college/uni until we found the major we're doing now)
and I feel like I fit in and even am more mature sometimes, which feels great.
I do find it easier to befriend younger people than peers (my best friend is 5 years younger than me but he's mentally more mature so we are around the same age mentally)

It's mostly due to how I've had to grow up, but my mental age is definitely higher than my actual age. A lot of people, especially irl, always say that I'm an old soul stuck in a young body. I guess some things about my mentality are still somewhat childlike though, so I think I'd put my mental age at around 18. My actual age is 14.
