honestly think a big issue with cdramas now are with the lighting; hardly any though goes into it now
so instead of planned out shots, everything's done under those massive studio lights shining from all directions, with no sense of time or mood
it's a shame, since it detracts so much from the visual storytelling and makes everyone look a lot worse with the lack of shadows and everything

There are a few I’ve seen I wish the crew could teach everyone else how to produce a drama.

it’s a shame because all those dramas with all the massive budgets so often have those cheap looking filming
and the ones that don’t have much of that issue aren’t really the romances either, from this year the knockout is crime/thriller, ripe town historical/mystery, three body sci-fi, imperfect victim contemporary/crime etc
I’ve heard good things about provoke but also it’s a very guilty pleasure wattpad tropes done well drama apparently
