Follow-up question: for the Christmas Tree, should I do flat green (like this) or variegated green, where the greens will alternate (like this)? And I'm thinking a sparkle gold yarn for the star. (@alo and @Selfmate since this pattern was your choice lol)

i think a solid green would look nice! and yes, a sparkly gold yarn for the star would be perfect!

flat green personally BUT
if the tree comes alive then they are less conspicuous with the other colourful pattern
