Yes i was friends with this girl who hung out with her and i convinced myself she changed when i knew she didnt, everyone in my friend group including our entire school doesnt like her and she is rude to everyone

until about early high school I thought I had to conform to "white" standards and hobbies and so forth since I thought being asian was a flaw
but then at my hs it was full of asians so eventually I got to embrace my asianness
I guess in terms of the positive it made me a lot more resilient to critism and negativity

I'm from down under so my perspective might be a bit different since when I was going up (90s/00s - I'm a boomer in spirit if not age ok lol) there weren't many asians and bullying wasn't a big deal then
nowadays (at least in Aust) there's a lot more diversification and even teachers get bullying training so it's a lot better than my time

assuming you're from the US - yeah it seems it's always been shit and the saddest part is it seems to be getting worse

like if you don't know I have two children of my own one 5 in kindergarten and in his class there's white people, brown people, yellow people, black people - the kids don't care - the parents don't care - the teachers don't care - it's just kids playing with kids no ones sees the different races as anything other than just kids

Id say if you raise your children in a way where they dont care about how someone looks snd just for theit personality then thats better
