Not much of the technical aspect, just what I think of their voices.
f(x) tend to use a wide array of vocal effects in their music as an artistic statement, being one of the most artistically developed groups, pushing the boundaries of Kpop music, incorporating eccentric instrumentals in their music.
They are blessed with a very cohesive ensemble producing uniform & crunchy harmonies, & their signature sing-talk way of singing displays their intonations well.
Luna: SM's most well developed female vocalist with support as high as E5 in the mix & Bb5 in the head being showcased.
Luna has shown tremendous improvement throughout the years becoming a skilled maim vocalist after entering SM as a dance trainee.
A light lyric soprano voice with a distinct bright quality to it, she has a twang to her voice that's well showcased in belts. For me, it's citrusy, sweet & sour, with an elastic consistency.
Krystal: A vocalist with support in her voice upto A4/Bb4.
Her voice is light, wispy, cloudy with a distinct scratchy & nasal quality to it.
She has a really delicate & soft voice which sounds like falsetto most of the time.
Amber: A somewhat androgynous voice reminiscent of a pubescent Male.
It is akin to her looks & she's as developed a vocalist as Krystal is, despite being the "Main Rapper" of the group.
Her voice is rich & warm, & higher than it is usually perceived.
Victoria: A rather mature & warm tone with a distinct airiness to it, a true "gossamer voice".
Sulli(Ex): Her voice reminds me of that of a teenage girl's. Light, bright, & sassy in its execution.
