For me it was in gymnastics. There’s a skill called an aerial. Imagine a cartwheel with no hands and that’s it. A lot of people get the aerial before they learn a front tuck or back tuck, some get it about the same time. Me? For back tumbling I got a back tuck, back layout (back tuck but a straight body), back half (back layout with a half twist) and was really close to a back full (back layout with a full twist). But I never learned how to do an aerial And it’s not like I wasn’t trying either, I practiced them often enough. I just couldn’t do it.
