Per google AI when googling stuff about mountains:
“The Presidential Range is known for its peaks named after US presidents, such as Washington, Adams, Jefferson, etc. Mount Lincoln, on the other hand, is named after Abraham Lincoln.”

On the other hand? :wimwim:

TIL in America there's mountains other than Mt Rushmore connected/named after US Presidents(hey I'm not American n there's no mountains named after Elizabeth, or other monarchs tat I know of. Usually roads, or buildings are named after leaders as mountains are named before famous people get famous enuf to hv the chance-Mt Washington was named while George Washington was a general, not yet president. Also Mt Lincoln is in grafton, nit Coos(i read per wikipedia yr American presidential mountain range is in grafton, so google ai seems wrong abt including mt lincoln, tho it seems there are literally more mt lincolns than i can count/want to count. Only 8 presidential mountains in the range) I'm weary after reading/writing to comment in this thread. Tldr don't believe AI(for now, maybe forever ie nvr!)

Yeah, Americans really like naming mountains after people. There’s even a mountain in New Hampshire named after a Native American who fought against the U.S. in the war of 1812 because while they were on the other side, the Americans respected Tecumseh enough to name a mountain after him (lots of things/people were named after him). And it’s true some of the presidential peaks were named before they became the president, but they all arguably reached their peak in terms of fame before being named (Jackson could be debated though). Google was right about Lincoln though, it said that his mountain isn’t in the presidential which is true. But the wording is funny as it insinuates that Lincoln wasn’t a president :lisalaugh:
