[Ahsoka]

When a blue whale goes on a dive, they spend 2000ish calories just on opening their mouths

[athenaaa]

That’s pretty cool

[centen]

If only that applied to me. Burn off the calories before I eat something.

[owo]

but when i open my mouth, the exact opposite happens

[IGURO]

that's so interesting
where do you get these fun facts?

[shadow]

that's very interesting indeed

Actually we need calories to open our mouths and chew. It’s just that we need a fraction of a fraction of a calorie, rather than 2k

All kinds of places. Sometimes videos on various subjects, sometimes books, sometimes things I’ve learned, ect ect.

you're eternally cool for this

It does apply to you. If you just open and close your mouth for a minute straight, you’d burn somewhere between 0.1-1 calorie most likely! It’s something not as much as a blue whale, but I don’t think you’d want to burn 2k calories every time you said something

Ah, that's true. Poor whales, they have to pick their words carefully!!
