The RMS Olympic was the largest ocean liner in the world from 1910-1913, and the largest British ocean liner from 1910-1934, except for 6 days in 1912. What happened in 1912? The Olympics sister ship was built, the Titanic. The Titanic had more tonnage, but the same dimensions as the Olympic. But of course, the Titanic sunk on its maiden voyage, after which the Olympic went back to being the biggest ocean liner.

If you want an additional ship fact: the Titanic is 100 meters smaller than the current largest passenger (cruise) ship, which is currently Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas.
They are currently building its sister ship, Star of the Seas, which is going to be the same size in length
