Yeah that was the main concern, our sex ratio still isn't ideal but it could be a lot worse if female abortion wasn't stopped.

It's true in India. Finding out your unborn baby's gender is a crime.
Its coz in many parts of rural India and even in some urban families, they'd only want boys and not a girl child so the law was passed to protect them.

Yeah I kinda understand the need for the one child law, in India families are usually encouraged to not have more than 2 children but it's not a law and isn't enforced like in China.
Tbf I don't think we'll reach that situation coz the ratio is improving and there have been a lot of steps taken to encourage families to protect and cherish their daughters.

china doesn't have it anymore and the maximum amount is 2 children. and i saw india definitely making process with condoms and other protections around rural areas. its funny this topic is bought up cause we've just been learning about this at school.
