Literally getting showered in gold and money.
My grandma is sending me pictures asking which gold jewelry sets I want just for performing a prayer.
I love being a daughter.
Anyone else celebrating Diwali? Technically today is Dhanteras and Diwali will be on Sunday.
It's observed differently depending on where your fam is from and who you worship.
Dhanteras is a day where we thoroughly clean the house and perform a prayer to bless the home, rid of diseases, ask for riches, xyz before the new year begins.
The prayer is typically done by the kids of the fam, usually the daughters. So I've always been tasked to perform the prayer.
And in return, I get money and gold jewelry. I'm talking the good stuff 22-24k.
