If you do, how do you cope with it? I could never imagine having my cashmere derriere touch that nightmarish, ghoulish even, germs infected toilet seat.

Medieval Europe. We had our evolution till around the millenium and then we started to backtrack, and it won't be long anymore till they swing clubs and scream ooga booga.

But on a serious note, I just think it's just nasty going to public bathrooms because you never know if they washed their hands when touching everything. They also did a small experiment here with male and female toilets and it was just nasty the state people can leave a toilet in.

Definitely. The state does bathrooms are could make me sick, figuratively and literally. They should discontinue them. I once saw the cubicle door painted in doodoo and I almost made contact with it. I just wanted to throw gum away.

Tbh, I think only in restaurants you'd be somewhat more safe and get a "clean" bathroom atleast. I mean a real restaurant and not Mc Donalds, because a new one opened here about a year ago and someone saw how they used a towel in the toilets then used the same one in the kitchen. Eversince that I have been saying they need to come up with a new menu called the Mc toilet.

But yeah it sucks you have to actually then eat at a restaurant to use their bathrooms, atleast that is how it is here.

I think it's the same here but I don’t usually use bathrooms when I'm outside so I don't really pay to much attention

Only if the other option is quite literally pee myself in public That said, I stand by the belief that American toilets (especially female) are particularly bad, among the countries I’ve been in their bathrooms. When I was younger passing through the French airport I was actually shook how nice the airport bathroom was. Same with Iceland. Last time I flew from the US on the other hand, 7/11 stalls were unusable, and 3 of the 4 that were usable were in use. In a couple stalls they even resorted to putting the danger slippery do not walk cone things on the toilet seat, but I didn’t want to get close enough to find out what warranted that so idk what was up there.

I double up on seat covers. If there are no seat covers I triple up on toilet paper.

I feel like US toilet should be similar to the bathrooms in Canada, I imagine how nasty you mean lol

What kind of nuclear waste did they drop in the toilets to require a slippery warning? The drains must have been a combination of hundreds of different candies (Seriously tho, people seem to just pee on the ground in there)

The thing with putting toilet paper to cover the seat - I always think about how many people touched the paper roll when they were wiping and I don't want to touch it.

At least. I always hear like NYC isn't a place that is neat (I think that's overblown, I think it's just like any major cities), I hope the bathroom wasn't bad
