Do clothes = gender? (1 Viewer)

Are specific clothes only meant for girls or only meant for boys? Or do you think anyone can wear whatever they want regardless of gender. What is your opinion on the matter?

In my opinion, clothes do not equal gender. I remember in high school there was a guy who wore the skirts and students were supportive but many teachers were not and even told him to change.​

hell no! thats something that's aggravated me my entire life. its fabric!! fashion has changed extremely throughout the years and vastly different in every culture anyway.
dresses, longer form clothes, skirts, etc have all been used in clothes for all genders throughout all time so for anyone to just boil it down
skirt = girl is absolutely ridiculous ☠☠☠
and that absolutely stands true to genre's of fashion too. if you wanna wear something cute, alt, sporty, etc, everyone should be allowed to wear it regardless of who they are and how they identify!!!

No clothes do not equal gender. In fact I think men's clothes really suck in the design and comfort department for the most part. I wear women's underwear and bra's. Women have it so good in the underwear department! Bra's because I have gyneocomastia and need the control. I don't particularly enjoy wearing a bra but the colors and designs are fun. I generally keep the women's clothes I wear very private because I live with family who would very much disapprove and feel uncomfortable. Back when I was in high school (late 90's, I'm so old... ) I knew several guys who wore dresses and I don't remember any of them getting crap. Probably because they were in JROTC and we were left alone. Generally if you had a problem with one person in ROTC you had a problem with all of us so it was a very safe environment.

i loveeee maxi skirts. they’re so flowy and pretty. i would start there. then you can see what you like to pair with those and that might give you an idea for dresses :D

no! if they did, we wouldn't have freedom of expression. I mean, for babies, you might want to put gendered clothes on them jbc otherwise people would have to guess or ask the gender, but besides that... hell, Harry Styles wears skirts, dresses, and pink clothes a lot, and we don't bat a single eyelash!

of course not but generally there are some pieces of clothing that are more worn by one gender than the other for example skirts and bras!!!
but obviously it doesn't mean dudes can't wear those
