Do idol rappers even like rap? (1 Viewer)

Of course they are some idol rappers who love rap so we don't need to talk about them.
We all know that some groups have rappers just for the sake of it and it's obvious some of them can't even rap.
But what about rappers with good skills and actual rap lines? Some of them went solo or released solo stuff and suddenly they're only singing?
Do you think they're forced to be rappers and would like to be a vocalist instead or is it because they want to do something different than just rapping? Or any other reason?

I think they like it but most people probably will always prefer vocals. Even if they were pushed into the rapper position, more than likely, they trained and auditioned for vocals

Some Kpop rappers end up doing what they love : rapping

Some are forced into it but are happy to rap even if they prefer singing so it’s what they did when they are going solo. Some might think that they have a better shot at succeeding solo by singing and some are rappers in their group because they have no other choice.

I think it's a mix of both, like you have the BTS boys that are clearing passionate about rap and hip hop and then you have people like Amber who auditioned as vocalist but got noticed when their company needed a rapper and there's also people like Peneil who are very open about the fact that they rap because they can't sing lol

this is exactly why a lot of KHH artists aren't that keen on idol rappers. there is more to rap then just "rapping" one line in a song. I could never consider a ton of idols real rappers.
