Yeah, not good.
Also, it's so weird talking about this to someone who's never heard of this situation. It's all over YouTube rn, even after 3 weeks. But it's good to learn so that we don't make the same mistakes! It's like that one quote "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it".
Yeah, that's true. But fame is also power. You can use it to help or to destroy. "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." I don't mean to dote but Tom Hiddleston for instance. He's a good example of someone who has a lot of fame and fortune but doesn't let it get to his head. Instead, he uses it to help people and sees it as an outreach for causes he cares about. He still stays humble even though he's quite literally gone from theater kid to playing one of the most beloved characters in the MCU, making literal millions. He still talks like a theater kid and speaks so well and humbly. He seems like the type of person to protect his family at all costs but never hurt a fly at the same time.
And then I can name quite a few people who are...let's just say...the opposite.
Yeah...it's unfortunate human nature though. Like most things. But humans are complex creatures.
I mean, there are a lot of things that we say we would never do, but when it really comes down to it, how willing are we to test that theory?
I feel like that should be a dystopian survival thing sort of like
Hunger Games lmao. It would definitely be a good novel front-page caption!
