Let's be honest!

For me: I love NCT and Stray Kids, but I don't even remember the last time I really loved a song from them.
It doesn't mean I don't like these groups anymore, but I prefer to be honest with myself.

Do you give up on them after 1 or 2 albums or immediately if their music is not for you anymore?

Yeah. I get more disappointed if they do than a random group but I can definitely say when I don’t like a song. For example, Simon Says

Immediately usually, if I don't like the title then I won't follow the comeback/promotions or tune in to group content (variety is sometimes an exception). This wasn't the case pre-COVID, but after COVID (when I took a 1-2 year hiatus from kpop) I don't have the energy to keep following when I don't care about the music o_o it doesn't stop me from tuning into future releases and looking for better music (with some exceptions), but it does plant a seed of doubt in my mind that I can depend on that group for music and I see no future with myself and that group.

Prime example for me is Red Velvet when they released Power Up, RBB, and Zimzalabim back-to-back, I just had to stop trying to be their fan (subsequently I stopped listening to any new music).

Currently, the only group that has revived my interest (I stanned, unstanned, then restanned) is NCT 127 (stanned at Cherry Bomb when I first got into KPOP, unstanned at Regular, re-stanned at Simon Says). I love simon says idg @Ahsoka 's beef with her

What if they release something you like after you unstanned?

I usually become a casual listener then, because when I unstan then I completely lose interest in the group
For example, EXO used to be my ult group but I lost interest in their music and the members. So even if they would release the album of the year, I would not go back stanning them

Yeah, they all have hits and misses.
I'll even complain about Lee Hi and some of her super traditional ost type ballads. x.x the kinda songs I really dont like.

only a certain fandom i know can brainwash themselves into liking their group's awful music. Otherwise yea, I didnt like Gfriend's music under HYBE for the most part. Secret's cute side was adorable visually but not top notch musically.

Simon says was one of the first kpop songs I heard and I adored it from the start lol
