I do believe that people who passed can send us signs.
I recently had this experience.

My grandpa passed away about a week ago.
A week before his funeral, strange things happened to my grandma and my mom.
A day or two after his passing, my grandma's watch stopped working at the exact time of his death.
The day after that, my parents heard the alarm of the freezer going off as if it's open, but it wasn't as no one had opened it that day.
They went to check 3 times and the door was closed but the alarm kept going off. After a while it stopped.
My mom said it was my grandpa telling us he's well.

At the spreading of his ashes, it was raining.
Right before the ashes where getting spread, a red butterfly landed right before the spot of his ashes as if it was looking at us.
Never seen a red butterfly in my life and never seen a butterfly in the rain.
My grandpa always wore a hat when he went outside; it was red.

I'm so sorry for your loss! What was his cause of death if you don't mind?

I've also experienced what you have, but with Moonbin. Remember when he passed away and fans kept seeing "signals" sent from above and believing it was Moonbin? I was one of them. It was either a sliver of blue in a gray sky or a sliver of cloud in a blue sky - I don't remember. But yeah, it was probably Moonbin saying he's okay now that he's in heaven.

He fell ill about a month before he passed. I believe it was pneumonea since my grandma had it after him too.
But he basically never got out of bed and a week after he had pneumonea, he basically was on toddler level.
What disease did the man not have? His sole kidney was failing, he had cancer, he had heart problems, etc
