if you asked fourteen-year-old, BSB-obsessed me, I'd say YESSSSSSSSS bc I remember when they colabbed with Burger King for their comic book thingy. You would get a BSB actoin figure in your big kids' meal. Not only do I think Burger King tastes like crap, but I was FOURTEEN, y'all - totally not a kid! lol but yeah, naturally I had to have them all. But nowadays, why bother? Even when BTS partnered with Samsung, I didn't exactly drop everything and switch - wasn't worth the money, and I was happy with my LG I had at the time anyway.

nah that's some next level consumerism, especially if you're not interested in the product itself. those celebs are mostly richer than i'll ever be even without me buying some shit they promote with their faces.

but also in poland the brands are only collabing with local celebs and i don't like any of them so it's more of the opposite, if they use an annoying celeb in their adverts i'll avoid them. there's already three brands here which got this treatment from me.

i have bought skincare, hair care and few fragrances because idol was using it

when it comes the perfumes ive bought diptyque orpheon because yunho from ateez was using it and it smells disgusting on my skin. i am so sad because in the bottle it smells so beautiful but it doesnt work with my skin chemistry. another perfume i can remember i bought because felix from skz was using it and it was ysl libre. it is ok but its not an casual perfume. hence since i dont go anywhere i have no situations where wearing it wouldnt feel obnoxious to me so its useless to me.
i know ive bought 2 more because idol was using it but cant remember which perfumes.

hair care ive bought was kundals baby powder shampoo because of in from skz. its ok and i still have few bottles but dont use it at the moment.

skincare ive bough because idol was using it was in my early days of being kpop fan so about 2011-2013 and cant remember at all what they were. these days i still use korean sincare but since ive learned more about skincare i dont use skincare just because idol is using it.

and still the only merch ive bought was bts face mask to kcon so im def not an victim of consumerism
