I personally don't really? I never got this huge hype and obsession about a perfect birthday party. Yeah sure, we'll have cake and some presents, but thats about it, we don't have like a whole big party

My mom is really big on birthdays and ever since I was 16 she always threw a huge party for me, it was nice but to be honest I prefer smaller ways to celebrate. There was one year where my mom couldn’t throw me a party and she bought me a little vase of flowers and a nice small gift, that was the most memorable to me because in a way felt more special. After I turned 21 we’ve thankfully just stuck with a cake and a few presents.

We celebrate but with a few presents and some cake, not a giant party. Milestone birthdays are the same as any others in my family too, especially since my brother and I share a birthday.

People usually forget about mine (August 9th) because its in the middle of the summer, so lots of people are away.

I like attending other peoples birthdays, but I can't eat cake :(
