Do you ever feel lonely on forums? (1 Viewer)

Actually sometimes yes. I post and talk on threads quite lot, but I rarely get into closer relationships with people and well i also rarely got pms (other than related to staff stuff I mean). Is it surprising if I tell that first pm I got on akp (after the 2016's overhaul) was one asking me to become moderator. Not that I leave messages to people other either so it's understable xd I'm not in general person who makes friends easily, i'm reserved in both irl and online I guess. I have gotten just couple friendships at forums through the years, but I have hold those dear to me.

And I can also relate to the people thinking i'm intimidating both on forums and irl since people have said it to me quite often. "I thought you were like this, i was scared of you, you looked intimidating". I'm not exactly intimidating person though, well I don't think ^^; I'm bit awkward and get shy around new people, I'm geeky and up to talk about nonsense over my interests nonstop.. not that intimidating huh? :d

Though I don't think I'm as lonely than before though. As a staff I of course I didn't have time feeling lonely, I chatted or had to chat with tons of people in daily basis, got tens of pages of pms suddenly and I was close with the staff team too, it's nice to have sth like that to bond over even if it's not always most fun times. I also feel like KPS is quite close, but still open community. And well i got lot of invites here so I think people actually want to see me around xd I think it's easier to have presence in smaller forum like this cause your threads and posts don't get lost in the mass of other posts and threads.

i used to be lonely initially just because no one cared but i just built up a reputation and found friends and started reaching out more and more and now i feel comfortable on the forums.
