Haha yeah, I just said this in Vikki's thread but I've been mistaken for being younger than I am so many times that I'm like "Okay, this is getting kind of annoying."
Most people assume that I'm 13-15 years old unless it's in a setting or what I'm wearing doesn't really scream young teenager. Sometimes even 12! Even the people who know how old I am, like my parents, brother, aunts, and uncles say I look way younger than I am.
I remember on the first day of school, I was in Astronomy for the first time and we were doing a get-to-know-each-other icebreaker thing a freshman was so surprised to find out that I was a senior. Like we don't look that mature anyway haha. Anyone could look like a freshie or a senior tbh. There are some freshmen/sophomores that I was surprised to find out they were that young.
But like I mentioned earlier, it sort of depends on the situation or what I'm wearing. Like if I'm with my parents, a lot of people assume that I'm younger but with friends my age or by myself, no one does. Also, of course, at school, those who know I'm a senior know I'm a senior. But also, what I'm wearing helps. I would say I have the style of a tween some days and like wearing cuter things which might attributed a lot to that age confusion thing and I don't wear a lot of makeup that covers up my "youthful" features.
I sort of think that's annoying and I feel like clarifying would be so satisfying but if it's a waiter/waitress or some other service worker, I'd probably just go with it or use my parents' menus lol.
