Not particularly (atleast not that I can recall)...but if I'm nice it's usually because I feel like it rather than me being purposely nice for any particular reason or someone else's benefit.
Its kinda random I guess.
But strangely I get called nice for simple normal things, like say please, thank you and holding doors.. But I consider those just everyday basic things.

I try to be extra nice to my boss, buying him his favorite coffee or getting him lunch when he needs it.

I try to be nice/polite to everyone unless they annoy me and even then I don't like confrontation so I'll still probably be polite

Depends on the way how they treat me, I'd say.
If they aren't polite to me then I prolly won't be super nice to them as well
