Do you ever worry about being a bad fan / not doing enough for your faves? (1 Viewer)

Everyone has their own way to support their faves, but some stans go above and beyoned what anyone could expect.

As humans we love to compare ourselfs to others, so its plausible to get affected by it.

How do you see it, do you ever worry that you're not doing enough, or maybe even got attacked or called out for not doing enough by other fans within your own or even other fandoms?

I think thats the best approach, but its not always easy to ignore the peer pressure

Nah. There is no such thing as a bad fan imo unless you are toxic and bring down other groups and the group you stan. Constructive criticism doesn't count.

I used to, whenever one of my faves didn’t win on a music show or didn’t reach a certain milestone I definitely felt pressured to spend time voting/streaming. But over the years I’ve realized how stressful it made me and felt like a job rather than a hobby.

Same here. When people ask me about my taste in music (it happens not very often), I tell them about my favorite bands in Metal, Rock and K-Pop. And I also mention Dreamcatcher. Some people that listened to them the first time replied: "This is K-Pop? Wow."

To be honest, I wish I could make Dreamcatcher more popular in Germany. But I don't try to convince people. Most people of my generation could be rather close-minded regarding their taste in Rock music. Many of them prefer the Classic Rock and Metal bands, they even don't listen to modern bands.

It would be great if I could get the Dreamcatcher shirts in German online shops too. As Heavy Metal fans know: one of the most effective types of advertising are clothes with band logos and album covers.

I will make K-Rock more popular in the western world. There will be Asian Rock music festivals in Europe, sponsored by Dreamcatcher Company. With K-Rock and J-Rock groups.

I wish k-pop groups had t-shirts in my size. I'd rock an Apink t-shirt all day long.

Not really, even though I suck at following activities for my groups who really cares? Whether I listen to their album the second it releases, day it releases, hell, even the following year, it’s no one’s problem but mine. I’ll get around to it someday
That’s just an example because it’s probably the biggest thing I do that fans would look down on me for, not listening to releases immediately (especially soloists).

I've yet to spend a cent on them
I don't stream their music
I don't defend them from otehr groups fans (nor attack others I guess)

No. I don't understand the people who give up their lives to support the groups they love. Like spending 23 hours a day streaming an MV to get the views up or spending money to get voting tickets so that they win an award.

I do what I can but to me music is something to enjoy not a second job.

To me, that's the weird side of fandoming.
