Do you find me unfriendly ? (1 Viewer)

So I never posted before about my personal life but today one of my childhood friends came to me and told me that she finds me at the same time very kind and unfriendly because I am too much introvert and that I will do anything to push away the persons that I don’t know. I must admit that wherever I go, it’s hard for me to make friends.

At my workplace my coworkers always said that I am very sweet even when I am not there and I speak to everyone but contrary to the others I don’t belong to one group of friends and don’t hang out with them outside our work.

So my question is do you find me unfriendly ? Because I think that sometimes this aspect of my personality can be seen online by some of my answers who are too honest.

I want to become more open to the world but I tried during several years without succeeding.

Not really. The first reason why is because It takes me two hours by train to arrive at work so I don’t hang out after work with them because I want to come back home. And I don’t really like hanging out with a big group and they are always at least 10. I know that I am not going to dare to talk to anyone.

That's reasonable, 1 hour is already too much.

When they schedule something too late, I always come up with some excuse.

Thank you. It’s just that she is one of my dearest friends so I was asking myself why she came to me to tell me that now.

They just ask me to be polite now I guess so I don’t even bother to give an excuse but sometimes I feel excluded so I will maybe try to make an effort from time to time.

You don't seem unfriendly at all. I'm also an introvert and I have a very difficult time opening up to new people so, I have the tendency to push others away. It doesn't make you unfriendly though. It just means that you're shy and it takes time for you to open up to others.
