Do you grab the first item you see in a shop? (1 Viewer)

When going shopping, do you choose items from the back, or do you just pick the first one you see? I was always taught reach in the back a few times and whichever has the furthest away expiration date, put in the cart.​

sadly when I go shopping I grab the first item I see then I show it to my sister, who is a freak who refuses to let me buy anything unless its 1. not expensive, or 2. I need it or 3. she wants it, which rarely happens, then if she approves I ask my mom, who will then question me on whether I really need it or not, and then finally she buys it. saurrrrrrrrrr idk

It depends on the product. For things like milk I always check the expiration date, but for things that don’t go bad quickly I usually don’t check if I know I’m not going to keep it for a long time.

if it has an expiry date, I look for the farthest out one. Otherwise, I get my caregiver's help. I do know what to watch out for, like bent boxes and stuff, but it's always nice to have a second pair of eyes.
