The palmeris longis is a tendon found in the forearm and wrist area. To see if you have it, you can use a few methods. The one I find the clearest is to bring your thumb, ring, and pinky together and bend your wrist a bit inward, as shown below. If you don’t see a tendon pop out, you don’t have it. Somewhere between 10%-30% of the population is estimated not to have it. However, not having it is not shown to have adverse effects on grip strength or hand mobility.
