Usually with my brother when we make food he has something to complain about. Either the olive oil we use is too bitter, or there’s too much salt, or there’s not enough salt, or it’s too dry, or it’s too much garlic, or we don’t make real gyros, ect ect. I get if something is majorly off you’d want to say something, but for him it’s almost any food is worthy of criticism, no matter who cooks. And then he wonders why we aren’t like omg thank you for saying we’re bad at cooking or whatever. It was okay when it started but at this point I do find it kind of annnoying because there’s no pleasing him it seems

My mom’s husband is incredibly annoying when it comes to how he wants his food. His idea of “good food” is processed meals, or tons of meat and cheese. He hates anything remotely healthy, any kind of food he’s never heard of, any vegan substitute, my mom can’t eat eggs so when he found out we made pancakes with fake eggs he started acting like they tasted gross (when he’d been eating them like that for month’s prior). We went to a vegan bakery a few weeks ago and he just kept saying how disgusting it all was and “not real food” Keep in mind he didn’t even try anything.
That was a major rant that I guess I needed to let out
I stopped trying to cook for him years ago, if I have to I’ll just stick with the basic meat and potatoes dinner.

Yeah I personally don’t enjoy living with him
I always try my best to not be rude to him but if I don’t have to talk to him/be in the same room I won’t. I feel like that makes me sound bad but if I can avoid being stressed that is what I shall do.

I get the feeling that he doesn’t actually get that it’s annoying to us at least. He’s not perceptive I think so he thinks there’s nothing wrong with it

And then I cooked for my family and they liked it.

Except the one time I over season food....
