im sure i can actually sleep if i just get my ass to bed but i, for some ungodly reason, keep staying up in the middle of the night despite having to work really early in the morning
my main problem is waking up

like, even if i get 7+ hours a sleep i can NOT wake up on time and im always late for work

I don't really have trouble but I do have a recent problem:
Unlike all of my irls, I have a pretty good sleep schedule. 10:30pm - 7am on school nights. But like now I'm staying awake until 12am!?!?!?!?!?!? And still waking up at 7 30!?!?!?!? I don't mind it since I'm on holidays but this wouldn't be bad if my waking up time was later but now I'm sleeping less, which I don't want.

and it’s not for lack of effort either. I’ll try and lie down at the designated time but I’ll just lie awake for a couple hours.

i just let myself sleep and nap when I’m tired.

yes, i am incredibly paranoid and i am also incredibly childish so sleeping in the dark gives me trouble. i also have really bad allergies and i've had trouble breathing since i was born. i'm also very sensitive to temperature and if i am too hot or too cold i won't be able to sleep unless my body temperature is regulated (drinking a lot of cold water when it's hot or sleeping with two blankets when it's cold). i can't have the fan on becuz it'll blow dust everywhere and i will get rhinitis. i have to have a form of light or i will cry so i usually fall asleep to a youtube video.

in short, sleeping is a nightmare for me and i usually get ready for bed around 9-10pm but i usually fall sleep around 1-2am.

My ability to stay awake forever and fall asleep whenever scares even me. I usually get like 6 hours or less. Falling asleep is the hardest part at actual bedtime. If it’s any other time I can do it whenever.
