The origin of the phrase “to a T” isn’t completely known, but the most widely accepted theory is that its short for “to a tittle”. A tittle refers to small additions to handwritten texts, like the dots in i or j or the cross in t or f. These are the fine details, so saying to a T is saying you’ve done everything to the last detail. In a way, it’s similar to “dot your is and cross your Ts”.

I didn't know that. I actually thought it "tea". I imagined that it was meant to be like a well made "tea". :dubueh:
